Take a Journey to Italy on Stilts with Musetta’s Valzer to the tunes of Puccini's La Bohème and Verdi's La Traviata. Enjoy great food, play games and much more.

Shortcut to Europe (#EUOpenHouse) is a day of family fun, food, culture and more. The event offers visitors a rare look inside the embassies and provides a unique opportunity for them to experience the cultural heritage and national traditions of the 28 member countries.

    • Laser technology for paintings restoration.

    • Corner Connect4Climate, a campaign, a coalition and a community dedicated to driving global action on climate change, connecting and amplifying climate initiatives and activities, and creating social currency and political capital for climate action. It works with more than 180 partner organizations around the world, and is funded by the World Bank, the Italian Ministry of the Environment and the Global Environment Facility.

How does it work?
  1. Take a photo of yourself in front of an iconic background at any of the participating EU Embassies and/or the EU Delegation. Friends and family are welcome!

  2. Upload your selfie to Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, and tag it with#EUselfieand#ITcultureUS, and the name of the relevant country – or the EU Delegation – represented in the photo.

How do I win?
We are looking for two winners:
  1. The person who snapped selfies at the largest number of Embassies.

  2. The most creative selfie Winners will be notified via social media in the week following the EU Embassies’ Open House.
